Starting from their 6th semester, doctoral students will have the opportunity to apply for a doctoral dissertation examination, also known as the Thesis Defense, which is a key graduation requirement. For further details and schedule, please refer to the step by step guidelines below:
Submission of Thesis/Case Study Plan: Week 3
Documents to be submitted:
Thesis/Case Study Plan in English approved by CAP (Thesis Advisor) and Graduate Programs Director
Research Ethics Confirmation in English
Confirmation of Examination and Guidance fee payment
Receiving Department: SolBridge Academic Affairs team (for applications and study plans), Finance Team (for examination and guidance fees)
Application Fees:
(A) Examination Fee: KRW 570,000 (For international transfer, apply the exchange rate of 1/1,000)
(B) Guidance Fee: KRW 70,000 (For international transfer, apply the exchange rate of 1/1,000)
Total Fee (A+B): KRW 640,000
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Thesis Title submitted through the application form is a final version of the Thesis Title and may not be modified later on.

**The issuance fee for each certificate/transcript in English is 1,000 won per page.
The thesis evaluations will be conducted in 3 phases (1 phase – 2 weeks). You will have 6 weeks to review your thesis/case study and edit it based on the evaluation paper and feedbacks from the committee.

A certificate of journal publication or confirmation of scheduled publication.
Note: Students who have difficulty obtaining the certificate and supporting documents should submit the link to the journal publication and a screenshot clearly showing author's name, article title, and publication status.

Submission of Thesis Final Draft: Week 14 - Week 16
Documents to be submitted:
Three Thesis hardcover copies; (Among the three copies submitted, one will be kept at the Woosong Library, one at SolBridge Library, and one will be submitted to the Ministry of Education. Students may order additional copies for personal use).

Doctoral Thesis Printing Guidelines
Hard copies and a CD can be conveniently printed by the company located next to the main gate of Woosong University. The cost varies depending on the number of pages in the thesis, and printing about 200 pages will cost approximately 200,000 won. Please visit in person for detailed consultation.
